FIRST PLACE – SENIOR – CREATIVE WRITING

PRAY FOR ME

I need someone to help pray for me, to help care for me,

to walk with me to the winds,

I need to know where I am headed because I know

where I have been.

Haters hating when I’m winning; I’m done playing

games with these haters.

Haters need to control their jealousy

I say that-because, there’s nothing they can do to stop

my shine.

This here right here, this is God’s plan, homey, this ain’t

mine.

I am what I am.  Haters can hate it or love it.

Mom told me, when someone does you wrong, don’t

keep worrying about it or try to take it into your own hands.

Let God do his work, because what comes around goes

around.

Faith goes a long way.

In the worst of times, sometimes it’s all we have.

You know what?  Mom’s wise words keeps me from

committing felonies to stay alive.

I want to make it to heaven, when it’s my time to go,

But sometimes I don’t think I’m going to make it to

heaven,

Wondering when them angels going to call my number.

Pray for Me, continued

A long time ago, I believe I seen a spirit walking down

the steps.

I wonder was that death calling out to me letting me

know my time is near.

Sometimes I don’t fear.  I know God is watching over

me.

I need someone to help guide me throughout the

darkness that’s all around me into the right path.

Sometimes the right path is hard to follow.

I was too young to understand the consequences of a

man watching my back,

For enemies trying to test me out to see will I do or die.

Some people don’t want to see me make it, they want to

see me buried.

When you take a look at me, I’m not one of those fakers

that all was trying to impress your friends by doing what

they want me to do.

This right here is the real deal, I created my own style,

my own looks and my own life style, with my blood, my

sweat, and my tears.

I bow down to no man because my time be now and no

one or anything is going to prove me wrong.

So would you help pray for me because all I want to do

is do the right thing in my life.

CREATIVITY IN OUR COMMUNITY

if we stop

& think

of all the bad things

we have done

then we can stop

& think of all the things

we could have done

to have fun

in our community

yup!  that’s right

we can make it

a better place

right here tonight

we can pick up trash

we can do much more

like help the homeless

& mow some lawns

i know you have faith

in yourself

don’t be so mean

we all can help

by joining

as one into a community

& have so much fun

if we

go out there

& help people

then they can help us

when we can’t help ourselves

LOVE

(A song about children disrespecting their parents

and teachers)

On a sunny day kids outside running away.  We’re breaking free to the movies, we’re breaking free we’re soaring, flying there’s not a star in heaven that we can’t reach.  Silly, behavior soaring in the air and there’s not a star that we can’t reach, because teachers can do something but they are scared of some of their children.  People aren’t raising their kids the right way because they don’t respect their elders.

SHE’S NO YOU

- A Song -

They got a lot of girls you know they got it goin on but nothings ever embarrassing to you.  Now can’t you see you’re the only one I really want and everything I need is everything, but you are the girl with the silly behavior I think you’ re perfect there was nothing I would change, don’t never get caught up in Jealousy.  She could be the super model every magazine is looking for.  She never ever mean a thing to me.  She’s no you oh no if you could get more than I could ever want, she’s no you oh no!  They got a lot of girls that are dancing off of videos but, I prefer the way you do the way you move and the girl, every time I think you’re looking I think you’re perfect there would be nothing I would change she could be the super model every magazine wants.  She never ever took my heart away.  She’s no you oh no if you could get more than I could ever want she’s no you cause you’re the only girl that I ever dreamed she’s only think she brought a magazine.
